Balder acquires nearly 300 rental apartments in Kronogården

Fastighets AB Balder is expanding its property portfolio and strengthening its presence in Trollhättan through the acquisition of five properties in Kronogården. The transaction comprises approximately 300 rental apartments as well as a number of garages and parking spaces. Possession will take place on 2 February.

The residential buildings on Slåttervägen in Trollhättan have a new owner, and at the turn of the month the property company Balder will take over both ownership and management. For tenants, the change of ownership means gaining a large and stable landlord with a local presence, in-depth local knowledge and extensive experience in property management and area development.

Balder has owned and managed various types of properties in Trollhättan since 2005, and residential properties in Kronogården since 2013. The expansion of the company’s property portfolio is a natural step in Balder’s long-term commitment to the city and the district.

The transaction includes five properties, one of which is held under a site leasehold, and comprises a total of approximately 300 apartments. The properties also include a number of garages and parking spaces. The properties were acquired from Slåttervägen Fastigheter Living AB, which was declared bankrupt in autumn 2025.

Balder will take ownership and the role of landlord on 2 February. Initially, the focus will be on getting to know the new tenants and the buildings more closely, identifying needs and establishing maintenance and development plans.

In Trollhättan, as in all locations where Balder operates, the company works towards customer-focused, efficient and relationship-driven property management. This includes a local office with staff responsible for management, letting and operations. Local presence and dialogue with tenants are among the aspects that the company hopes and believes will be appreciated by the new tenants.
