THE BOVIERAN HOUSING CONCEPT
Bovieran AB was founded in 2005 by the Mellberg family, and four years later, the first Bovieran was completed in Partille, just outside of Gothenburg. In 2013, the collaboration between Balder and Bovieran began, and since January 2015, it has been a wholly-owned subsidiary within the Balder Group.
The latest addition to the Bovieran concept is being developed in the growing small town of Ytterby, in the municipality of Kungälv. Read more about the project here (in Swedish).
Tenant-owner apartments in unique environment
Community, social bonding, and security are of great importance in Bovieran. In addition to a modern tenant-owner apartment, residents also have access to common areas and a large enclosed garden. Bovieran is comfortable housing developted by Balder and where apartment owners manage their own tentans-owner association. In a survey of Bovieran residents, 93 per cent responded that their quality of life had improved after moving into their new home.
All Bovieran facilities are designed similarly, with a U-shaped building and a 1,600 square meter enclosed garden in the centre. Each Bovieran has around 50 apartments distributed across three floors, all with a balcony or patio.
Inspired by the Riviera
Living in a Bovieran is a bit like living on the Riviera, not least thanks to the enclosed garden with exotic plants. The winter garden is Bovieran's natural heart and meeting place. Here, residents have access to an idyllic environment with a Mediterranean climate and plants from around the world. The garden offers a space for socialising and for enjoying a book in peace and quiet. Many tenant-owner associations organise various activities for their members, for example lectures, coffee breaks, boules tournaments, and celebrations.
Community has always been and will always be a guiding principle in the work with Bovieran. The ambition is to continue to place social interaction at the centre, which is achieved by further developing the concept and creating new opportunities for collaboration between Bovieran's tenant-owner associations in Sweden.
From Falun to Landskrona
The most recent Swedish Bovieran project to be completed was in Svedala, where happy homeowners moved in during autumn 2023. The housing concept is well liked, and more projects are on the way. Next up is Bovieran Ytterby, where we are planning to launch sales in winter 2025 / spring 2026. You can read more about Bovieran Ytterby here, and upcoming Bovieran projects will be published on our website for new projects (In Swedish).
